It uses TensorFlow.js and face-api.js machine-learning models to analyze a photo of a human face and return an apparent-age estimate — a prediction of how old a person appears based on visible facial features. The Service runs entirely in your web browser; photos are processed locally and are never uploaded to our servers.

Accuracy Disclaimer

The AI model produces an estimated apparent age based on facial features visible in the uploaded image. Accuracy can be affected by:

  • Lighting conditions (underexposed or overexposed images).
  • Face angle (non-frontal poses reduce detection accuracy).
  • Obstructions such as sunglasses, masks, heavy makeup, or filters.
